Ada AI Agent Voice + Chat for Shopify Ecommerce (2026)
Ada unifies voice and chat inside an enterprise build. Guzli puts the same answers on your storefront widget and store number — keep the desk you already run.
Ada AI agent voice + chat for Shopify ecommerce (2026)
Pick Ada if you are buying an enterprise AI Agent implementation, Voice is on your package, and shoppers should hit the same knowledge base and Actions (the tools that agent can run) on chat and the call inside Ada’s contact-center wiring.
Pick Guzli if a small Shopify team needs the storefront widget and the inbound store number to share one brain on a published plan this quarter — and Salesforce or Zendesk stays the desk.
Guzli sells the second product and wrote this page. Ada facts below are from Ada Voice, Voice onboarding, contact-center integration, and the Shopify shipment block, read 19 September 2026 — not a bake-off. Both can put one agent on chat and phone. They are not the same procurement.
Enterprise agent vs a published storefront plan
Ada sells brands an AI Agent build. The knowledge base and Actions (tools the agent can run) come first. Voice is a core channel on that same agent — Ada’s Voice overview says to have those core elements in place before you turn the phone on. You work with an Ada team. You do not flip a chat-only plan to a voice plan and go live the same afternoon.
Guzli is the other shape: train on help articles, prior solved tickets, the site, and files; put the widget live; forward the number. Handoff opens a ticket in Salesforce, Zendesk, or Guzli’s own help desk.
Verdict: Ada is an implementation. Guzli is a published plan. If your request for proposal (RFP) already says “Ada,” stay in that conversation. If your founder just needs the store line to stop inventing a different return window than the widget, you are not in an Ada buying process.
What Ada Voice actually requires
Ada’s Voice onboarding docs are blunt: this feature may not be included with your organization’s subscription package — contact your Ada team. Telephony sits on Twilio. Ada-managed Twilio is the default (Ada provisions the phone number, the SIP connection that links the phone system, or the Twilio Application, and absorbs telephony costs in that setup). Bring-your-own Twilio is optional for regional compliance or existing contracts.
Ada can sit in front of an existing contact center. The Voice contact-center guide names Genesys Cloud, NICE CXone, Amazon Connect, Aircall, and Twilio, and says Ada Voice can integrate with any contact center — if yours is missing from the list, ask Ada for the path. Handoff is a transfer to a human queue, not a forwarded small-business store number.
Confirm Voice is in your package before you plan the store number around it. Package-gated is not “Ada cannot do voice.” It is “ask before the slide says the line is covered.”
Guzli publishes voice on Standard: $149/mo + 16¢/min talk (5¢/min transfer, 3 concurrent). Pro is $499 + 14¢/min. Hobby is $49/mo chat-only. See current plans and pricing. Ada packaging lives with your Ada team on ada.cx — this post does not invent Ada prices.
Shopify inside Ada is not an App Store install
Ada documents Shopify as an integration for order and shipment lookup inside the conversation — the scripted Shopify block looks up shipment details by order number or the last order by email. That is enterprise commerce wiring (Actions and API tools), not a theme-app install from apps.shopify.com. Guzli’s Shopify integration is the same honesty in the other direction: storefront context on the widget and the line, not a Shopify App Store app.
If shoppers already live in Ada chat with Knowledge and Actions wired, staying there keeps order lookup in that thread. If the job is the storefront widget in front of Shopify while you keep the desk you have, Guzli is the chat surface.
When the Ada build is the right spend
Stay on Ada when:
- You need contact-center handoff into Genesys / NICE / Amazon Connect, not a forwarded small-business store number.
- Voice, social, and chat must share one enterprise reasoning and knowledge layer, and you have the implementation calendar.
- Security and procurement already cleared Ada. Ripping it to “get a cheaper phone AI” is how you buy two agents and keep the expensive one.
Ada vs Guzli is an enterprise agent build versus a storefront-and-inbound agent you can publish. Channel count is the wrong scoreboard.
When a small team should publish Guzli instead
A three-person Shopify support pod that already runs Zendesk does not need Ada’s Twilio onboarding to stop after-hours voicemail. They need one brain on the widget and the store number, tickets back into the desk they have.
| You should buy… | If… |
|---|---|
| Ada | Enterprise agent build; Voice is on the package; shoppers hit the same knowledge base and Actions on chat and the call inside Ada’s contact-center wiring |
| Guzli | Small Shopify team; widget + store number on one published plan; keep Salesforce/Zendesk as the desk |
Do not rip Ada only to “get phone.” Guzli covers the storefront-and-inbound job.
FAQ
Can Ada cover website chat and inbound phone with the same agent?
Yes, when Voice is on your Ada package. Ada’s docs treat Voice as a core channel on the same agent that already uses the knowledge base and Actions (the tools that agent can run). Confirm inclusion with your Ada team — the onboarding guide says Voice may not be in the subscription.
Does Guzli replace Ada?
Usually no if you already bought the enterprise Ada agent. Yes if the job is a separate phone AI so the storefront widget and the store number share one published-plan agent while Salesforce or Zendesk stays the desk.
What does “Voice may not be in your package” mean?
It means Ada Voice is sold as part of some subscriptions and not others. Package-gated is not “Ada cannot do voice.” Ask before a slide says the store line is covered. This page does not invent Ada prices — those live with your Ada team on ada.cx.
