Yuma AI vs a Chat+Phone AI Agent (2026)
Yuma automates where-is-my-order and returns inside the helpdesk you keep. Guzli is one agent for website live chat and the inbound store number. Confirm Yuma Voice on your paper before treating them as the same buy.
Yuma AI vs a chat+phone AI agent
Pick Yuma if Gorgias or Zendesk already is the inbox, ticket volume justifies a dedicated ecommerce automation layer, and the job is resolving where-is-my-order (WISMO), returns, refunds, and order edits inside those tickets. Confirm live capabilities and packaging on yuma.ai.
Pick a shopper-facing chat+phone agent (Guzli is one published-plan version) if a small Shopify (or BigCommerce / WooCommerce / PrestaShop) team needs the same answers on website live chat and the inbound store number, while the desk stays the desk.
Those can overlap. Yuma documents Voice AI as the same agent that handles email and chat, and Chat AI as a paste-on widget on the same engine. Confirm both product lines are on your paper before treating Yuma as the storefront-plus-store-number buy. Ticket automation is still the product they lead with.
Guzli sells the second product and wrote this page. Facts below are from Yuma’s public Support AI, FAQ, Twilio, Shopify, and pricing pages, read 19 September 2026 — not an automation-rate bake-off. Related split: answering service vs website chatbot.
Ticket automation is the product
Yuma Support AI sits inside the helpdesk a brand already runs. That page lists Gorgias, Zendesk, Kustomer, Salesforce Service Cloud, Re:amaze, Gladly, Front, Sprinklr, and Zoho Desk. The FAQ still names Gorgias, Zendesk, Kustomer, and Salesforce Service Cloud as native installs. Shopify is the commerce system it reads and writes. The story is autonomous tickets, not a theme-app widget.
Yuma’s Shopify page lists ticket-side actions: search, tag, cancel, refund (full, partial, percentage), reship, add or update notes, add/update/remove line items, send invoice. That is why it wins WISMO tickets — live order and carrier state, then an action, then a close.
They also publish Hard Limits: caps on refund amounts and coupon values the AI can never exceed. That is a real constraint, not a slogan. Stay on a human for fraud, chargebacks, and anything above those caps.
Yuma’s Support AI page also lists Voice AI: answering the support phone line with the same agent that handles email and chat. Voice rides a Twilio account you control — Twilio bills the number and minutes; Yuma powers the call. Local-number experiences are listed for the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Belgium, and Spain. The FAQ describes a Chat AI widget you paste on the site, on the same engine as tickets.
That is still a desk-layer attach unless Chat AI and Voice are actually enabled. You buy Yuma to close tickets. Chat and Voice extend the same automation program.
Guzli sits in front of the desk. Publish website live chat. Forward the number — always, or only on no-answer, busy, or after hours. Handoff opens a ticket in that desk or Guzli’s own help desk.
Yuma automates the ticket. Guzli covers the shopper who never opened a ticket — they typed on the storefront or dialed the number on the box — unless you also bought Yuma Chat + Voice.
Worked path (desk research). A brand already on Gorgias buys Yuma to close WISMO and return tickets. Callers still hit voicemail until Voice + Twilio is on the order form. Tickets stay in Gorgias. The new work, if the gap is the packing-slip number this week, is publishing a storefront widget and forwarding that store number — not ripping Yuma. If Voice is already on the paper, adding a second phone vendor is how you get two scripts.
Shopify write-backs vs a storefront lookup
Yuma’s Shopify integration is write-capable ticket work. Guzli’s Shopify support chatbot page documents storefront order lookup and returns inside policy, and says Guzli is not a Shopify App Store app. The live /integrations/shopify/ page currently claims an App Store install and automated refund processing. Those two publisher pages disagree, so this compare does not treat Guzli refund write-back as equivalent to Yuma’s documented ticket actions.
Score whether the shopper who types “where is my order” in the widget and the shopper who dials the packing-slip number hit one knowledge base — and whether you needed a ticket-automation program to get there.
Guzli limits. Hobby is chat-only. No HIPAA (US health-data rules). Guzli does not issue refunds or reships the way Yuma documents on a ticket. Stay on Yuma when the inbox already runs the brand and the missing piece is ticket resolution.
Yuma’s FAQ cites named brands (EvryJewels 89%, Petlibro 79%, Tediber 64%) as public case studies. Those are vendor-published outcomes, not an independent bake-off on your ticket mix. The same FAQ says most customers land between 40% and 89%.
Outcome quote versus a card you can screenshot
Yuma prices on yuma.ai/pricing (read 19 September 2026). The public page is outcome-based: you pay when Yuma fully resolves a ticket, with no charge listed for conversations or escalations. It does not currently publish screenshotable Starter/Growth/Scale dollar cards or a 12-month commitment on that URL. Brands can start with a 30-day trial on real ticket data; the exact bundle is a sales-led quote around volume and stack. Confirm the live quote.
Guzli (/pricing/, 19 September 2026): Hobby at $49/mo for chat-only. Standard at $149 + 16¢/min (talk 16¢/min, transfer 5¢/min, 3 concurrent). Pro at $499 + 14¢/min (talk 14¢/min, transfer 4¢/min, 8 concurrent). That is the honest comparison: outcome-priced desk automation (quoted, not a public rate card) versus a monthly storefront card.
Ripping Yuma to “get a cheaper phone AI” is how you keep paying for the automation layer and add a second agent on the line. Phone-gap next to a Shopify desk: Gorgias alternative that answers the phone.
Guzli’s same-agent story is the whole product: website live chat and inbound phone, one knowledge base. Voice starts on Standard. How a call runs: Can AI answer phone calls?.
| You should buy… | If… |
|---|---|
| Yuma | Serious ecommerce helpdesk already; WISMO/returns/refunds as tickets is the job; you will take their rollout and an outcome-priced quote |
| Guzli | Small Shopify team; website live chat + inbound call on one published-plan agent; keep Gorgias/Zendesk/Salesforce as the inbox |
| Yuma, then ask about Voice / Chat AI | Tickets already automate well and callers still hit voicemail, or the widget is missing — confirm those product lines on this account before adding a second vendor |
| Keep Yuma | It already closes the tickets you bought it for — do not rip the layer only to cover a store number |
FAQ
Does Yuma answer the phone?
They document Voice AI on the support line, via a Twilio account you control, as the same agent that handles email and chat. Twilio bills the number and minutes. Local-number experiences are listed for the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Belgium, and Spain. Confirm Voice is enabled for your workspace. Ticket automation is still the product they lead with.
Does Guzli replace Yuma?
No on ticket automation, refund write-backs, or a customer-experience layer inside Gorgias. Yes on the need for a bolted-on receptionist if the gap is the storefront widget and the inbound call sharing one knowledge base and Yuma Voice/Chat are not on the paper.
How do the prices compare?
Yuma’s public page is outcome-based: you pay when a ticket is fully resolved; conversations and escalations are listed as uncharged. There are no screenshotable dollar cards on that URL — the bundle is a sales-led quote, with a 30-day trial on real ticket data. Guzli publishes Hobby at $49/mo chat-only, Standard at $149 + 16¢/min (3 concurrent), and Pro at $499 + 14¢/min (8 concurrent). That is a quoted desk layer versus a monthly storefront card, not a cheaper-minute claim.
What are Yuma Hard Limits?
Hard Limits are caps on refund amounts and coupon values the AI can never exceed. Stay on a human for fraud, chargebacks, and anything above those caps.
