Guzli vs Help Scout
Help Scout runs the human inbox. Guzli puts the same agent on website chat and the phone. AI Answers is $0.75 per resolution on every plan, including Free, billed in arrears. If you hit your spending cap, AI Answers will be disabled automatically for the remainder of the monthly cycle and Beacon falls back to Docs. The third column is Front. Hobby is $49 chat only. Voice starts on Standard.
Quick verdict: Choose Guzli if you want the same agent on chat and the phone, and you will keep Help Scout for the inbox. Choose Help Scout if Docs, saved replies, and shared-inbox collaboration are the job. Choose Front if you wanted the other shared inbox — that mix stays in the table.

What to model before committing
- • Your expected monthly conversations and calls
- • Seats or usage meters that grow with your team
- • Add-ons needed to match an all-in-one platform

Why Docs and saved replies still win
Help Scout’s Docs and inbox wins
- • The human shared inbox, Docs, and saved replies — the reason teams stay
- • AI Answers exists on every plan, including Free, at a published $0.75 per resolution
- • Beacon plus Docs for self-serve; SMS is on the Standard card
- • Published per-user cards: Free $0, Standard $25, Plus $45, Pro $75
Where the spend-cap disable hurts
- • AI Answers is $0.75/resolution billed in arrears; a spend cap disables AI Answers for the rest of the cycle
- • Per-user seats; Pro floors at 10 users → $750/mo before AI
- • Phone is via integration, not an AI receptionist; the AI agent does not work on email yet
- • External website sources must be resynced manually; agents operate only within set permissions

Human inbox versus the phone
TL;DR: Help Scout runs the human inbox. Guzli puts the same agent on chat and the phone. Cite $0.75 per resolution and the spend-cap disable. Most teams keep Help Scout for Docs and saved replies. Front is the other shared inbox. Zendesk and Gorgias sit in one cell plus a link — Guzli vs Zendesk, Guzli vs Gorgias — not as column 3.

Seventy-five cents and a spend-cap disable
AI Answers is on every plan, including Free. A resolution is a conversation closed without human assistance. No charge if the customer escalates, searches the KB, asks more, or clicks “I still need help.” One resolution per conversation. New accounts get a 3-month AI trial; existing customers do not.
AI resolutions pricing (25 Jul 2026): $0.75/resolution, billed in arrears. Hit the spend cap and AI Answers is disabled for the rest of the monthly cycle; Beacon falls back to Docs.
Help Scout is not dead and not without AI. Guzli does not replace saved replies or Docs.
Pro’s $750 floor
helpscout.com/pricing (28 August 2026), monthly per user as printed. Annual −16%. Free $0 — up to 5 users, 1 inbox, 1 Docs, 1 Beacon, 100 contacts/mo. Standard $25 — up to 25 users, 2 inboxes included (more $10 annual / $12 monthly). Plus $45 — 5 inboxes, 3 Docs. Pro $75 — unlimited users, minimum 10 → floor $750/mo before AI; 10 inboxes, 5 Docs. Compare-table max inboxes: Free 1 / Standard 20 / Plus 50 / Pro unlimited. That is the cap, not the included count.
The 2025 contacts-helped experiment (Daniel Jalkut, 30 Apr 2025, $66→$266) is a labeled 2025 scar. A 2026 buyer buys $25 / $45 / $75, not contact-based pricing.
Guzli chat-only is Hobby at $49. Voice is $149 + 16¢/min on Standard, $499 + 14¢/min on Pro. No per-user seat. There is no Help Scout conversation-history importer.
The agent still does not do email
Help Scout’s AI agent does not work on email requests at the time of writing (slated for 2026). Phone is via integration (Aircall preferred on Pro). SMS is on the Standard card. Agents do not act independently and operate only within the permissions you set. External website sources must be resynced manually.
Keep Docs and saved replies
Stay if the shared inbox is the system of record; if Standard or Plus seats cover the desk; if AI Answers on a known $0.75 budget is the automation you already run; if Aircall covers human phone. Full rip only if you are leaving the inbox.
Front sits in the table as the other shared inbox. If the H1 you wanted is Help Scout versus Front, that page is Help Scout versus Front.
Beacon pages versus the inbox
Put Guzli in front if you want chat plus voice without a $0.75 meter that can disable AI Answers. Keep Help Scout for the humans. Hobby cannot exercise voice.
